Privacy Policy

Who we are

ThatPigeon is a mobile loft management app for pigeon fanciers. The data controller is ThatPigeon, reachable at contact@thatpigeon.app.

What data we collect

• Account email — used for authentication (OTP code or Google Sign-In). Not shared with third parties.
• User-entered data — bird records (ring numbers, names), loft information, pairing data, race results, health events — everything you voluntarily enter in the app.
• Listings for sale — if you put a bird up for sale, the price, the note, your loft's county and the contact you choose for that listing (phone, WhatsApp or email) are public on thatpigeon.app while the listing is open. When the listing closes, the contact is deleted; the price and the note are no longer public and stay stored in your account.
• Photos — bird photos you upload, stored in Supabase Storage (EU region).
• Anonymous usage events — we collect anonymous, non-personal analytics via PostHog (EU servers):
  • app_open — The app was opened. No time, no place, no device.
  • bird_created — A bird was added. Not which one — no ring number, no name.
  • result_created — A race result was saved. Not whose, and not from which race.
  • export_used — You exported data. Only which kind — birds, results, journal, health, pairings or listings.
  • statistics_viewed — You opened Statistics. seasons: How many seasons your loft has — a count, never which seasons.
  • trends_viewed — You opened Trends. insights: How many of the cards had something to say — a count, never which.

  These events contain no personal data, user identifiers, or device identifiers.

• Crash reports — Sentry collects crash logs to help us fix bugs. These may include device model and OS version but no personal data.

Where your data is stored

• Supabase (EU region) — all user data, photos, authentication
• PostHog (EU servers) — anonymous analytics
• Sentry — crash reports

What we do NOT do

• We do not display ads.
• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
• We do not track activity across apps or websites.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:

• Right of access — you can view all your data in the app.
• Right to rectification — you can edit your entered data anytime.
• Right to erasure — you can delete your account from the app or via email. All data is permanently deleted.
• Right to data portability — CSV export always available, free, even after subscription lapses.
• Right to object — you can contact contact@thatpigeon.app for any request.

Data retention

• Your data is kept as long as your account exists.
• When you delete your account, the live database is emptied immediately, and your photos are destroyed at once and exist in no backup. Copies of the rows remain in the provider's routine backups for up to 8 days, then expire.
• Even after a premium subscription lapses, your data remains accessible. We never hold data hostage.

Children

ThatPigeon is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with the updated date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of changes.
